Business Intelligence Analyst

Brainboss is looking for an experienced BI Analyst to join our team and help drive smarter decision-making across diverse business domains. In this role, you'll act as the vital link between business needs and technical execution, designing dimensional data models, scoping analytical requirements, and delivering high-quality Snowflake data products that fuel Tableau dashboards and strategic insights.

Key responsibilities:

• Data Integration & Quality :

  • Develop source-to-target specs and support ETL workflows from PostgreSQL/Miles to Snowflake.

  • Implement reconciliation checks, integrity validations, and automated data quality controls. Optimize models and queries for Snowflake performance.

  • Troubleshoot data issues, document root causes, and propose fixes.

• Analytics & Value Creation:

  • Analyse Tableau dashboards to uncover trends in performance, profitability, and operational efficiency.

  • Translate business needs into KPIs and user stories, delivering reusable datasets and data products.

  • Support reporting by advising on scalable data pipelines, aligning metrics across markets, and enabling self-service through certified sources.

• Domain knowledge:

  • Understand and document key business processes from onboarding to end-of-life events, including inspections, pricing, and remarketing.

  • Model contracts, cashflows, assets, and fees with sensitivity to European market variations such as tax, privacy, and currency differences.

• Governance, Security & Compliance: Support data retention, masking, and role-based access for PII to ensure GDPR compliance. Maintain metadata and lineage, and promote data stewardship using Confluence.

• Ways of Working:

  • Operate in Agile using Jira to manage stories, estimates, progress updates and delivery.

  • Contribute to documentation, walkthroughs, and standardization and participate in reviews/demos, UAT.

  • Collaborate with engineers, product owners, and stakeholders.

• Leadership:

  • Advise and consult fellow analysts, review SQL/ETL and dashboards, and uphold best practices.

  • Lead discovery and roadmap planning, communicating risks, trade-offs and dependencies to senior stakeholders.

You are a perfect fit if you:

• Have a higher Education degree (Bachelor/Masters).

• Are Fluent and can communicate clearly in English and Dutch

• Have at least 5 years of experience in BI/Data Analytics, including 1–3 years with Snowflake delivering production data marts.

• Have Strong SQL experience and dimensional data modelling + 3NF fundamentals.

• Have hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Informatica and Tableau (dashboard design & optimisation)

• Have experience modelling Salesforce objects used for accounts and organisational management data used for reporting.

• Understand vehicle leasing, asset finance, or contract lifecycle or can learn fast and prove it

• Can document in Confluence and produce diagrams in MagicDraw or Draw.io.

• Embrace Agile/Scrum delivery with Jira, writing crisp user stories and acceptance criteria.

• Thrive in collaborative environments.

• Are eager to learn and have excellent communication skills.

• Bonus: You know Miles (NL) and similar leasing and contract management data structures and integration patterns, Residual value forecasting/pricing optimisation, DataOps/CI‑CD, dbt/semantic layer, have relevant certifications (SnowPro, Tableau, Informatica).
